Evergreen Exercise & Beauty offer 6 week courses, which are open to non members and cover nutrition and weight management strategies. Exercise, Weight Loss & Dietary Management programmes should encourage healthy behaviours and experts agree that the best way to reach and maintain a healthy weight is to follow a sensible eating plan and engage in regular physical activity.

   

The basis of a nutritional consultation is to:

  • Relate healthy eating goals to actual food choices
  • Understand the role that diet plays in sports performance
  • Develop an exercise programme to promote fat and weight loss
  • Understand the role of fat in the diet & how it impacts on weight loss

Moderate exercise does not usually increase appetite but may actually help to control it. People who exercise regularly are more likely to keep the weight from coming back after losing it.

Barbara Minshull is a fully qualified YMCA Centre of Excellence Personal Trainer, a qualified IIST Sports Therapist, GP Exercise referral Consultant, Falls Prevention Trainer, Otago & Postural Stability Instructor, British Association for Cardiac Rehabilitation (BACR) instructor & Modern Pilates tutor, holding membership of the Level 4 Specialist Exercise Instructor on the Register of Exercise Professionals.
